Does the Looking Glass need a computer to run?

For Looking Glass Portrait

The Looking Glass Portrait can run standalone without a computer but will be limited to displaying 3D content only. For creating, syncing and sharing content, we advise using your Looking Glass Portrait with a companion PC or Mac (generally a dedicated GPU for Windows and MacBook's with an AMD Radeon Pro 45 / M1 / M2 to run dedicated software applications and plug-ins.

(Some demos & applications are limited to PC. For example, our interactive demos only work with PC.)

For Looking Glass 32" & 65"

The Looking Glass 32" and 65" displays require a dedicated PC to run.

For best performance, your PC must meet the following minimum recommended specifications:

• 9th Gen i7 CPU or equivalent
• Min. 16GB RAM
• Min. 256GB SSD storage
• RTX 3090 or equivalent (Note: Graphics card must support 2x DisplayPort and output 7680 x 4320 resolution)

As part of our solution, we can supply the full computer bundle with these displays at an added cost.
