How do the Go mobile app, Blocks, Bridge, and Studio work together?
Looking Glass Go supports two different workflows: Standalone Mode and Desktop Mode. The app or service you use depends on which mode the Go is in.
Go mobile app
The Go mobile app is the primary setup and standalone-content tool.
Use it to:
- Pair the Go with your Looking Glass account
- Connect the Go to Wi-Fi
- Turn photos into holograms using AI-generated depth
- Adjust focus, depth, and zoom
- Create and arrange playlists
- Manage firmware updates
Looking Glass Blocks
Blocks is the web platform for storing, sharing, and managing holograms. It uses the same Looking Glass account as the Go mobile app, so owned holograms and playlists can synchronize between them.
The public Blocks uploader accepts supported image content. It does not accept quilt videos or RGBD videos.

Looking Glass Bridge
Bridge is required when the Go is connected to a computer in Desktop Mode. It allows desktop applications, browser experiences, and developer tools to communicate with the display.
Desktop Mode is for running interactive applications and viewing computer-based content. It is separate from the standalone playlist workflow.

Looking Glass Studio
Studio is a desktop media player for quilt and RGBD images and videos. It can play content on a Go connected in Desktop Mode.
Studio does not synchronize standalone playlists to Go. Standalone Go playlists are managed through the mobile app and Blocks.
